NatureRx:
Wild on Humans
With Special Guest Jane Goodall
Working with Jane Goodall
In 2016, the creator of Nature Rx, Justin Bogardus, presented alongside world-renowned conservationist Jane Goodall at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Hawai'i. During the event, they both addressed conservation efforts and the importance of reconnecting with nature.
Their collaboration kicked off the Wild On Humans project in partnership with the IUCN, US National Park Service, Parks Canada, and various other national
parks systems in Australia and the US.
The "Wild on Humans" project by Nature Rx is a playful mockumentary-style series that humorously explores the concept of the "indoor human," contrasting this modern phenomenon with our evolutionary history of outdoor activity. The project features an international team of mascots, including Buddy the Bison from the U.S. National Park Trust, Parka the Beaver from Parks Canada, Ranger Roo from Parks Victoria, and Puddles the Blue Goose from US Fish and Wildlife, who aim to "save" indoor humans by encouraging them to reconnect with nature.
